Year In Review: 2021's Biggest and Best Releases

Even two years into the pandemic, we continue to be amazed by the strength and creativity of the indoor cycling community.

All over the world, club owners and instructors have kept the wheels turning, helping members stay safe and moving, whether that means taking bike class outside, streaming live classes, or safely returning to the studio. YOU are an eternal source of inspiration, and on the software side of things, we've done our best to support your efforts.

A GROWING FAMILY

2021 has been another record-breaking year for Intelligent Cycling. In 2020, our userbase skyrocketed. We were proud to experience an impressive 257% increase in new users, an 82% increase in new workouts, and a 191% increase in workouts played. In 2021, we’ve been fortunate enough to continue that growth.

Compared to the already impressive numbers in 2020, we’ve had a 156% increase in new users, a 120% increase in new workouts, and a 197% increase in workouts played in 2021. In our best month of 2021, we saw a whopping 222,6 % increase in new users compared to our best month of 2020.

The Intelligent Cycling team also had a growth spurt, as we welcomed Sales Manager Doyle Armstrong in the beginning of the year, and a new programmer, Patrick Pete Falk Sindlev, towards the end of 2021. In addition, we welcomed 15 new ambassadors, bringing us up to 43 Intelligent Cycling ambassadors all around the world. Last but not least, we entered into new partnerships, among those a partnership with SATS, Scandinavia’s leading fitness provider, becoming their preferred partner on indoor cycling software.

2021 RELEASES

In 2020, we put the pedal to the metal and launched three new lockdown-friendly players, perfect for connecting with members at home, as well as three new worlds in The Journey– and we didn't lose steam in 2021!

A More Intelligent App

We want to help your members reach their cycling milestones. Now, it's easier than ever for performance-driven members to stay on top of their fitness goals with the Intelligent Cycling app. Access detailed live performance feedback, post-workout summaries, workout history, and year reports directly in the app to evaluate each training session and keep track of your progress over time.

Connecting with other athletes is a great way to stay inspired and motivated, so don't forget to link your Strava or TrainingPeaks account to your Intelligent Cycling account. We'll transfer your performance data automatically after each workout.

Intelligent Cycling On Demand

We want you to have access to the best indoor cycling classes available anytime, anywhere. That's why our clients get full access to our instructor-led on-demand content, helping you add value for your members AND fill empty bikes in between live classes while you're at it.

Explore fun worlds on voice-guided rides to far-off planets or get coached by our on-camera instructor as The Player maps out the ride ahead. No matter which class you pick, we guarantee workouts that work while keeping it fun and simple.

The Journey To Space and Back – all in 360°

From the furthest reaches of deep space to Copenhagen's canals or your own personal Le Tour down the historic streets of Paris, the Journey has done it all in 2021. In April, we journeyed outside our Solar System to Exoplanet, and in November, Traveller brought us back to Earth with four new sub-worlds inspired by REAL travel destinations.

But that's not all! Aerial view now lets you get a better look at ALL your favourite worlds (and the creatures that inhabit them), and road curvature adds sharp curves for plenty of fun.

We love hearing from our users! That's why we created Intelligent Cycling Zone, a space where we connect over cycling and software. To date, we’ve welcomed almost a thousand indoor cycling enthusiasts to our official Facebook community, and we’re growing every day.

We want to take your indoor cycling experience to new heights in the easiest, most accessible way for both you and your members. Part of that mission is making sure you can find help when you need it.

Our comprehensive help section now features almost a hundred easy-to-understand step-by-step guides, as well as instructional videos, and in 2021 it became multilingual. Simply tap “select language” to translate our English help articles to Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian, Spanish, or Swedish (and more to come).

You can also join us for one of our software onboarding webinars on Facebook to get all your questions answered in real time. After the launch of our webinar series in June 2021, we hosted 69 webinars in 5 different languages and four different time zones before the end of the year with the help of our ambassador team. 877 of you responded and collectively you spent 21 days and 12 hours with our ambassadors. Thank you all for tuning in!
